Courtney & Chris
Snoqualmie Falls Washington Wedding
Salish Lodge, WA

We dreamed of shooting in this area of Washington for a really long time, and the day of it totally felt like a dream. Courtney & Chris are so funny, laid back and nerdy (some would say, just like us – ha!) so it was a completely natural fit. I loved how they planned their wedding day exactly the way they wanted to. They started looking for venues in Dallas and just didn’t see anything that resonated with them. Then, on a trip to Seattle (where Chris lived for a brief stint), they decided “hey, why not here?” and we L O V E when couples approach their wedding day from a ‘why not’ perspective. ALL of their family made the trip to support them, and they had a sweet, intimate noon ceremony and afternoon reception (with delicious brunch foods); toasts and laughs were shared and the doors were wide open because the weather was INCREDIBLE so people meandered back and forth from watching the waterfall to eating inside. Then, we took the evening all together and went for a hike over at Rattlesnake Lake; we took some golden hour photos and then sent them on to enjoy their first evening together as husband and wife. It was perfect.
