Amanda & JP | West Texas Desert Engagements

I am so thankful for this weekend in West Texas in February with two of our incredible 2020 couples. Each couple drove down and we got to spend a day with them shooting their engagements, eating dinner, hanging out – all staying at The Willow House in Terlingua (which is basically my new favorite place to stay). It was relaxed and fun, and we really got to spend some quality time with each of them. Amanda & JP are just, like, the coolest. They’re so chill and down to earth, and are just light-hearted and a joy to be around. Plus, they have the best style. Their wedding this fall at Lucky Arrow Retreat is definitely going to be one of our favorites, I just know it. This is why I love destination engagements, we get to spend a little extra time crafting a story together and creating a lot of different images! We started at late sunset the night we arrived (the light in West Texas lasts so long) and had the most magical pink sky with a stunning full moon, for almost a full 30 minutes. Then, we woke up the next morning for the incredible sunrise and explored a new hike in Big Bend National Park that neither of us had been on before!
