Eleanor & James
Non-traditional Weekday wedding
This is one of our favorite wedding days of the year, probably that we’ve ever photographed. MORE TUESDAY WEDDINGS, YA’LL. Eleanor & James wanted their wedding to be intimate and special, with a focus on their family & closest friends. They love good food, good wine and good company. So, they decided to have their wedding in a way that was so perfectly them: on a Tuesday evening, with their favorite people, with a long meal and lots of wine and quality time. They knew that by cutting back the guest list, they could have the experience they wanted the most without having to sacrifice any of the beautiful details. Remi & Gold filled the beautiful white space that is Josephine House with bright, spring-y florals and beautiful smilax framing the already beautiful design of the Josephine space, and draped the courtyard fireplace with a beautiful garden-like installation to make it the romantic space of their dreams. We walked in to the dining space and it literally took our breath away, the white space made the florals pop perfectly. It was incredible. Eleanor is extremely close to her brothers, so it was really important to her to have a moment with all of them, where they walked her to the wedding venue and listening to them all laugh and pick on one another (the way only siblings do), and then tearfully give her hugs goodbye filled my heart up completely. All of James & Joy’s family came from out of town so it was especially special for them to have a relaxing flow of the day where they could sit around the big candle-lit table and toast and tell stories until they drove off in a vintage car at the end of the evening.
